ISLAMABAD: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad conducted a detailed visit to Sector C-14 and Sangjani Interchange, where he reviewed ongoing development and construction activities, the pace of work, quality standards, and progress towards completion of various projects at both sites.
Member Building, Member Estate, Member Administration, Director General Works, Director General Infrastructure, Chief Officer Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI), Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, and other senior officers concerned were also present during the visit.
During his visit to Sector C-14, the concerned senior officers gave the CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad a detailed briefing on the development works completed as well as those currently underway in the sector.
The Chairman was informed that the basic infrastructure development works in Sector C-14 have been completed, while work related to electricity provision has also entered its final stage.
The concerned authorities further informed him that the installation of light poles along the major roads of Sector C-14 has been completed, while the installation of signboards on the main roads and streets has also been completed.
Meanwhile, landscaping and horticulture work along the main roads is progressing rapidly with the objective of making the sector modern, attractive, and conducive to a better residential environment for citizens.
The briefing further revealed that, following the completion of development works in Sector C-14, the process of handing over possession of developed plots to the allottees has formally commenced.
The process of handing over possession of plots to the remaining allottees is also underway so that citizens can be facilitated and unnecessary administrative procedures and delays can be avoided.
The CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad directed the concerned officers to complete all remaining development-related works in Sector C-14 on a priority basis and remove all impediments hindering the development of the sector without delay.
He stated that, in accordance with the directions of the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Federal Minister for Interior, meeting the residential needs of citizens in Islamabad remains among the top priorities of CDA.
He emphasized that, alongside mega development projects, the timely development of new residential sectors is equally important for the planned growth and development of Islamabad.
The CDA Chairman further directed that possession of plots be handed over to citizens at the earliest and that all necessary administrative and technical measures in this regard be expedited.
He said that these initiatives would contribute significantly towards meeting the growing residential needs of citizens and providing them with improved urban facilities in Islamabad.
He directed the concerned officers to further accelerate all necessary procedures relating to the remaining plots and ensure timely facilitation of the allottees.
He emphasized that the objective of development projects is not merely the completion of infrastructure but also the practical provision of better residential facilities to citizens. Therefore, unnecessary delays in handing over possession or completing other related matters after the completion of development works would not be tolerated.
Later, the CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad also visited the Sangjani Interchange, where he conducted a detailed on-site inspection of the ongoing construction and development works. He reviewed various components of the project and assessed the pace and quality of work as well as the field activities being carried out at the site.
The concerned officers briefed the CDA Chairman on the ongoing works at Sangjani Interchange, the construction progress, and the overall timeline for completion of the project.
The CDA Chairman directed that the pace of work on the project be further accelerated and its timely completion ensured in accordance with the set targets.
He directed that no compromise whatsoever should be made on the quality of work in any development project and that continuous field monitoring of construction activities be further strengthened. He emphasized that, in addition to timely completion, construction quality, sustainability, and the provision of better facilities to citizens must remain the foremost priorities.
The CDA Chairman directed the concerned officers to regularly monitor ongoing projects, immediately address issues arising in the field, and ensure effective coordination among all relevant departments so that no impediment affects the pace of development activities.
He stated that the development of Islamabad is a continuous process and that CDA is utilizing all available resources to provide citizens with modern infrastructure, improved residential facilities, a better and more attractive environment, and efficient civic services.

The CDA Chairman reiterated his commitment that, alongside ongoing mega projects, equal and sustained attention would continue to be given to sector development, improvement of infrastructure, provision of residential facilities, and prompt resolution of citizens’ issues across Islamabad.
