As BTS, the global K-pop phenomenon, prepares to kick off their highly anticipated world tour, fans are scrambling to secure tickets and accommodations.

The excitement is palpable, but for many, the experience has quickly turned into a frustrating nightmare.

With the group’s Busan concerts on June 12 and 13, hotel prices have soared astronomically, reportedly rising nearly ten times their normal rates, leaving fans shocked, distressed, and helpless.

The situation escalated further when some hotels brazenly requested guests to cancel confirmed bookings, citing “overbooking” as their excuse. One message circulating on social media read:

Hotel: “With the release of BTS’s Busan concert dates, we’ve received an overwhelming number of reservations. As demand exceeds available rooms, we kindly request that you cancel your booking. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.”

Fans responded with anger and disbelief, accusing the hotels of shamelessly exploiting the frenzy:

Fan: “I already reserved my room how is this my fault? Are you just trying to jack up prices and make a quick profit?”

Meanwhile, BTS’s management company, HYBE, is also facing backlash over ticket pricing, adding to the growing frustration and disappointment among fans worldwide.

As anticipation for the tour reaches a fever pitch, fans are left stressed, angered, and exasperated, navigating skyrocketing prices and chaotic booking policies all while trying to witness one of K-pop’s biggest global events of the year.
