If successful, this feature could open new revenue opportunities for Bluesky through its upcoming premium subscription plan. This plan may include exclusive perks such as longer or higher-quality video uploads.
Despite the excitement surrounding this addition, some users have voiced concerns. They fear Bluesky might lose its unique identity by mimicking TikTok too closely. A few have even requested the option to disable the video tab on their profiles.

Beyond the video feature, the latest update brings enhanced user controls, including a menu for blocking users or deleting conversations after reporting direct messages (DMs). Additionally, translation features have been improved to better accommodate global users.
