“Best Waste Diversion Initiative” by “Abu Dhabi Environment”

The Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi won the gold award in the category of Best Waste Conversion and Reduction Initiative (Government Sector) for the year 2024, within the sixth edition of the Middle East Waste and Recycling Awards. Engineer Faisal Al Hammadi, Executive Director of the Environmental Quality Sector at the Authority, said: “We are honored to win this prestigious award distinguished by its experts in the field of waste management, and this achievement reflects the future vision of Abu Dhabi’s leadership.” Engineer Salem Mubarak Al Buraiki, Director of Waste Management, who represented the Authority at the awards ceremony, said: “This award is evidence of Abu Dhabi’s firm commitment to sustainability and innovation in waste management.”
