Ben Affleck was spotted bonding with his two youngest children in Los Angeles on Thursday, just as reports surfaced that he’s “annoyed” by longtime friend Tom Cruise dating his ex-girlfriend Ana de Armas.
The 52-year-old actor picked up 16-year-old Seraphina and 13-year-old Samuel from school, looking sharp in a grey blazer, white shirt, and blue jeans.
The sighting came amid Daily Mail’s report claiming Affleck feels uneasy about Cruise’s relationship with de Armas, whom Affleck dated from 2020 to early 2021.
As per the outlet, Affleck, known to be a “jealous type,” still harbors feelings for de Armas and finds it awkward that she’s now involved with his Hollywood peer.
Moreover, Cruise and de Armas reportedly began dating around Valentine’s Day and were recently seen strolling through a London park on her birthday.
Though the alleged tension exists, insiders emphasize that Affleck also admires Cruise’s enduring action film career.
Additionally, one source noted, “Ben is happy for Tom. He hopes to be lucky enough to still be making films at that level one day.”
Affleck’s outing follows his recent red carpet appearance at The Accountant 2 premiere, where his kids and ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s children attended alongside his former partner Jennifer Lopez’s twins.
Despite their split, Affleck continues to praise Lopez, calling her “spectacular” and expressing gratitude for her ongoing relationship with his family, as per the outlet.
Meanwhile, Affleck’s friends have jokingly suggested he “get revenge” by dating Cruise’s ex-wife, Katie Holmes, though logistics would be tricky, with Holmes based in New York and Affleck in L.A.
