At the Gabba, England resumed the day at 134 for six but were eventually bowled out for 241 runs.

Michael Neser starred with the ball for Australia, taking 5 wickets, while Mitchell Starc and Scott Boland claimed 2 wickets each, and Brendan Doggett picked up 1.

Chasing a modest target of 65, Australia reached it comfortably, losing only 2 wickets. Travis Head scored 22 and Jack Wildermuth 17, while captain Steve Smith remained unbeaten on 23 and Marnus Labuschagne on 3.

In a historic feat, all 11 Australian batsmen scored double figures in a single innings a first in Ashes history. Previously, Australia had achieved this milestone against India in 1948 and Sri Lanka in 1992.

Since the inception of the Ashes series in 1882, this is the first time every Australian batsman reached double digits in an innings.
