Ariana Grande debuted a new tattoo during the opening night of her 10-show London residency at the O2 Arena on Saturday, August 15, and fans immediately connected it to her rekindled romance with Ricky Álvarez.
The delicate script tattoo, reading “I do love you,” appeared across her left collarbone. the same phrase Álvarez has tattooed on his own collarbone, which he first showed off in a July 2025 Instagram post.
Grande and Álvarez, a dancer and photographer, first dated in 2015 after meeting through her touring team, splitting the following year.
Their history was later referenced in Grande’s 2018 hit thank u, next, in which she sang, “Wrote some songs about Ricky, now I listen and laugh.”
During a stop on her Eternal Sunshine Tour in Austin this past June, Grande reworked that same lyric live, first singing, “Wrote some songs about Ricky, I know he still got my back,” before later changing it again to “We always find our way back”, moments fans now view as early hints of their reconciliation.
The pair appeared to confirm their renewed relationship publicly last week when Grande shared an Instagram carousel featuring photos of the two together, tagging Álvarez directly.
He followed with his own post seemingly formalising things.
Grande has amassed roughly 50 tattoos over the years, including a matching “For Good” design with Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo.
Neither Grande nor Álvarez has directly addressed the matching ink, but fans have taken it as the clearest signal yet of their reunion.
