Apple is set to expand its AI suite, Apple Intelligence, by introducing support for multiple new languages by April 2025.

Currently, Apple Intelligence is available only in US English, with limited support for English in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the UK.

However, the upcoming expansion will add eight more languages: French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese. This update is expected to significantly enhance the AI suite’s global accessibility.

The expansion will be part of Apple’s iOS 18.4 update, scheduled for release in April 2025. Additionally, localized English versions tailored for India and Singapore will also be introduced.

Apple CEO Tim Cook announced the update during the company’s Q4 2024 earnings call, emphasizing the growing importance of Apple Intelligence features. However, Apple has yet to reveal plans for rolling out its AI suite in the European Union (EU) and Mainland China.

Alongside the language expansion, Cook mentioned that a new version of Siri, equipped with on-screen contextual understanding, will be launched in the coming months. He also highlighted the email summarization function, citing its usefulness in handling large volumes of emails efficiently.
