Apple, Google, and Facebook account passwords were leaked, over 16 billion people lost their profile

A massive cyber breach has exposed more than “16 billion login credentials”, making it the largest password leak in internet history. The leak includes usernames and passwords from users of major platforms like “Apple, Google, Facebook, GitHub”, and many more.

This shocking data leak puts “millions of users’ personal information and online security at serious risk”. Experts warn that cybercriminals could misuse the leaked data for identity theft, account takeovers, or other harmful activities.

Users around the world are being “strongly advised to immediately change the passwords” to all their online accounts—especially those linked to emails, social media, banking, or work platforms.

Security professionals also recommend enabling “two-factor authentication (2FA)” where possible to add an extra layer of protection.

The full extent of the damage is still being assessed, but one thing is clear: “no one is safe unless action is taken quickly”. If you haven’t updated your passwords recently, “now is the time”.

Stay safe. Change your passwords today.
