Anthropic says Claude is helping build its own successor

Right now with the recursive self-improving abilities of artificial intelligence, the pattern is likely to be changed and Anthropic’s recent announcement adds weight to this possibility.According to the tech company, Claude is helping the company develop the next and more intelligent version of the model.

At the core of this progress lies Claude’s ability to lead the 26 percent of Anthropic’s model research and development.It means Claude can complete most of a given task end-to-end by using a high-level prompt.

However, the model is not working autonomously and is still under the supervision of humans.Approximately 90 percent of Anthropic's research and development is conducted in tandem with Claude, with the AI executing substantial portions of work guided closely by human researchers.Claude’s role in research and development has grown rapidly, moving from leading 0 percent to 25 percent by August.
