Angelina Jolie has reportedly reacted to her ex husband Brad Pitt’s recent admission that he started drinking again after staying sober for almost seven years.
A source close to Jolie told Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice column that she was “not surprised” by the news.
The insider claimed Jolie always felt that stopping drinking did not mean Pitt’s personal problems completely gone away.
The F1 actor recently opened up about his sobriety in an Esquire UK interview, saying that he “gotten back off the wagon” after seven years without alcohol.
Pitt, however, explained that he can now have a few drinks but knows he cannot have too much.
He first became sober after his split from Jolie in 2016 as their marriage ended after that private plane incident which Jolie later made allegations about.
But Pitt denied all those claims and was never charged.
His drinking has always been major part of the painful story which was around his family. The actor and the actress also spent years dealing with their painful divorce and legal fights.
Their relationship, moreover, also got very bitter over the time as even some of the kids decided to drop their father’s name.
The actor has openly talked about his past drinking problems as well and his time attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
Furthermore, Brad is now dating Ines de Ramon and continuing to work on some upcoming films.
