Amelia Dimoldenberg is putting an end to a significant era of YouTube shows as she announced her decision to bring her one of a kind show, Chicken Shop Date, to an end.
The 32-year-old media personality took to social media on Thursday, September 3, and shared that she has decided to move on to other adventures in life, and say goodbye to the show where she interviewed celebrities in a first date format.
Dimoldenberg wrote, “To me the show is my very own rom-com and I have loved creating so many stories for you to watch. I am so grateful to everyone who has followed me on this journey and found some joy in these episodes.
The multi-hyphenated star continued, “I never thought I’d stop Chicken Shop Date, I thought maybe it would be a part of me forever, and in some way it always will, but I feel like it’s now time to move on from this adventure and on to a new one. But before I say goodbye, I want to celebrate everything Chicken Shop Date has been for me with a few final dates… coming very soon x.”
Dimoldenberg’s news shocked fans across the internet and they started to flock together in the comments section, writing, “thank you for making me laugh!!! Also this beautiful hand written letter.”
Another added, “never thought id see the end of chicken shop date omg.”
While a third chimed in, “please have andrew [Garfield] as your last guest. you need to go out like that. thanks for the run, congrats and good luck,” and “Can’t believe I spent an entire decade watching your videos,” penned one.
