Nabatieh, the second-largest Shiite city in southern Lebanon, where only a few hundred people out of 75,000 residents remain.

Tensions in the Middle East continue to rise. According to reports, Israel carried out an airstrike targeting a civilian area in the Nabatieh district of southern Lebanon.

Two young paramedics were killed by an Israeli drone strike on Nabatieh in southern Lebanon while on their way to deliver aid.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese Prime Minister held a telephone conversation with UN Secretary-General António Guterres, during which he highlighted Israel’s occupation of areas south of the Litani River.

Statements by the Israeli Defence Minister indicate an intention to occupy these areas. The Lebanese Prime Minister expressed concern over statements by the Israeli Finance Minister regarding annexation.

He also pointed out that Israel’s destruction of bridges aims to isolate the area. The Lebanese Prime Minister stated that daily land occupations and encroachments have worsened the situation. He emphasized that Israeli actions violate Lebanon’s sovereignty and international law.

The Lebanese Prime Minister called for stopping Israel’s actions, which contradict the UN Charter. António Guterres advised Lebanon to immediately file a complaint with the Security Council.

On the other hand, Iranian media claims that Iran has launched a new wave of attacks against Israel. Reports suggest that Iranian forces targeted naval and fuel installations in the Israeli city of Haifa.

It is also being claimed that drone strikes were carried out in occupied territories, targeting several sensitive locations of the Israeli government.

According to experts, if the situation persists, tensions in the region could escalate further, potentially having global repercussions.
