Temperatures are expected to exceed 42 degrees Celsius in Peshawar.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain and strong winds in Karachi on July 19-20 with cloudy weather expected to continue over the next three days.

According to the Met Office, the city’s sky is likely to remain mostly cloudy, while the maximum temperature is expected to range between 33°C and 35°C during the forecast period.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said Karachi is expected to receive strong winds and rain today. However, the rain is not expected to cover the entire city and may fall only in some areas. Even so, it is likely to provide temporary relief from the hot and humid weather.

Residents have been advised to be careful while traveling during the rain because wet roads, reduced visibility and water accumulation in low-lying areas could disrupt traffic.

The PMD also said Peshawar is experiencing extremely hot and humid weather. Temperatures are expected to exceed 42 degrees Celsius over the next 24 hours. Residents have been advised to stay hydrated and avoid unnecessary outdoor activities.

According to the department, rain is expected in several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa beginning tonight. The rainfall is likely to lower temperatures across the province. Dera Ismail Khan recorded one of the country’s highest temperatures at 43 degrees Celsius.

The PMD said that while the expected rainfall may help reduce temperatures in many areas, it could also create problems in vulnerable locations where people have been living for years. Residents in these areas have been advised to remain alert and follow any weather advisories or emergency instructions issued by local authorities.

The public has also been advised to monitor official weather forecasts during the monsoon season, as rainfall intensity and storm activity can change quickly.

Earlier, the Pakistan Meteorological Department also forecast the second spell of the monsoon season in Punjab. According to the forecast, rainfall is expected across the province from July 19 through July 24.
