Airlink Communication Limited has officially launched global electronics brand Hisense in Pakistan, marking a major development for the country’s consumer electronics industry and reinforcing Pakistan’s position as an emerging technology manufacturing hub.

Hisense, which operates in more than 160 countries and generates annual revenues exceeding $30 billion, is internationally recognized for its innovation, reliability, and leadership in display technology. Through its partnership with Airlink, Pakistani consumers will initially gain access to a range of Hisense televisions and air conditioners.

The collaboration is being described as one of the most significant Chinese technology investments in Pakistan. Airlink brings extensive experience in manufacturing, nationwide distribution, retail operations, e-commerce, and consumer financing through its Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) services. The company also operates a 1.4 million-square-foot manufacturing facility in the Sundar Special Economic Zone in Lahore, one of the country’s largest technology manufacturing investments.

Airlink Group CEO Muzaffar Piracha said the launch reflects the company’s commitment to making world-class technology accessible to Pakistani households. He added that Airlink will continue investing in local manufacturing, technology transfer, and innovation to support the government’s “Made in Pakistan” vision, create jobs, reduce the import bill, and help establish Pakistan as a global technology hub.

Hisense Asia Pacific President Mr. Finn described Pakistan as a strategically important market with strong growth potential. He said the partnership combines Hisense’s global expertise with Airlink’s manufacturing capabilities and market reach, while also strengthening economic cooperation, technology transfer, and industrial development between Pakistan and China.

A key focus of the partnership is local production. Manufacturing products within Pakistan is expected to reduce dependence on imports, encourage technology transfer, generate skilled employment, and support future exports. Airlink currently employs more than 2,500 people, around 20 percent of whom are women, reflecting its commitment to inclusive economic growth.

Through its nationwide dealer network, retail outlets, digital platforms, and financing solutions, Airlink aims to make Hisense products accessible to consumers across the country. The launch ceremony was attended by government officials, business leaders, industry representatives, media personnel, and influencers. The event also featured the unveiling of actress Hania Aamir as the official brand ambassador for Hisense Pakistan.
