LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is expected to consider major changes in team management and key appointments during an upcoming two-day meeting.
According to sources, the important meeting will be held on June 12 and 13 under the chairmanship of PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, where decisions regarding key posts and possible reshuffles are likely.
Officials said the board may also hold consultations ahead of the meeting, with several key discussions already underway.
Sources added that the future of Pakistan’s Test captaincy is expected to be a major agenda item, following the team’s poor performance in red-ball cricket.
Test captain Shan Masood could reportedly be replaced, while T20 captain Salman Ali Agha is being considered as a possible candidate to take over the Test side.
Former cricketer Mohammad Hafeez may also be appointed as Director International, according to sources.
The PCB last appointed Shan Masood as Test captain in January 2024 after Babar Azam stepped down from the role.
During his tenure, Pakistan reportedly struggled in Test cricket, winning only four of 16 matches, including series defeats at home and away.
Officials said final decisions will be announced after the upcoming meeting.

Earlier, Pakistan cricket’s most recognizable and passionate supporter, popularly known as “Chacha Cricket,” has announced his retirement from attending matches after decades of cheering for the national team.
The 77-year-old fan, whose real name is Abdul Jalil, will watch his final match in Pakistan from the stands when Pakistan take on Australia in the third One-Day International in Lahore on June 4.
