US President Donald Trump said the United States has not yet approved arms sales for Taiwan, adding that a decision could still go either way.

Speaking to reporters, Donald Trump said he does not believe there will be a war over Taiwan, while noting that Beijing maintains a strong position on the issue.

He said he had detailed discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Taiwan but did not provide any specific assurances regarding US policy. He added that US policy on Taiwan remains unchanged.

US President Donald Trump has praised Pakistan and its military leadership, including the Field Marshal Asim Munir.

Trump said he appreciates Pakistan’s role in regional and security matters and acknowledged cooperation with its military leadership.

The US president also said China is expected to purchase American soybeans, and that he and Xi had agreed on several issues during their talks, though tariffs were not discussed in detail.

On Iran, Donald Trump said the United States is ready for a deal if Tehran suspends its nuclear program for 20 years. He said Iran was previously conducting trade worth about $500 million per day through the Strait of Hormuz.

He said a ceasefire in Iran was achieved following requests from several countries, and claimed the United States had “significant success” in the situation.

In remarks directed at a journalist, Donald Trump criticized questions on Iran, saying some reporters should face charges of “sedition.”

He added that the United States had blocked Iran’s trade through naval pressure and said a decision on easing restrictions related to Iranian oil purchases may be taken in the coming days.

On the other hand, US President Donald Trump has completed a three-day official visit to China and departed for Washington, describing the trip as “extraordinary” with significant trade agreements concluded.

Speaking before his departure, Donald Trump said the visit produced “excellent trade deals” and that the United States and China share a similar stance on Iran, particularly on preventing Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

He added that both countries want the Strait of Hormuz to remain open for navigation and global trade.

Chinese President Xi Jinping also described the visit as a historic milestone, saying it helped establish a new phase in bilateral relations between the two countries.

Xi said the relationship is constructive and strategic in nature, adding that multiple memorandums of understanding were signed across various sectors during the visit.
