A grand and highly significant commemorative ceremony marking the success of “Marka-e-Haq” is currently underway at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi drawing senior military leadership, top officials, and distinguished dignitaries in a powerful demonstration of national solidarity and institutional cohesion.

The Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir is attending as the chief guest alongside Chief of Air Staff Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, along with other senior representatives of Pakistan’s armed forces.

The proceedings began with the laying of floral wreaths at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada by the service chiefs paying solemn tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in defence of the country. Smartly turned-out contingents from the Army, Navy, and Air Force presented a formal salute, underscoring the discipline, honour, and unity of the armed forces.

The ceremony also featured the recitation of a Quranic verse from which the term “Bunyan-un-Marsoos ” was derived later used to name Pakistan’s retaliatory operation symbolizing strength, cohesion, and unwavering resolve.

Addressing the gathering, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir described the occasion as a moment of immense national pride, stating that the success of Marka-e-Haq reflected Pakistan’s resilience, unity, and strategic strength in the face of adversity.

He emphasized that the confrontation between May 6–10 was not merely a military engagement but a decisive clash of ideologies, where, in his words, “truth ultimately prevailed.”

He further noted that attempts to test Pakistan’s resolve and dignity had failed highlighting that the nation stood firm against external pressure and strategic challenges.

Field Marshal Munir asserted that Pakistan, through unity, professional excellence, and divine guidance, achieved a remarkable victory in both Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos. He stated that adversarial ambitions to destabilize Pakistan or alter regional power dynamics had been decisively thwarted.

He also paid heartfelt tribute to the martyrs, including unarmed civilians women, children, and the elderly who lost their lives during the conflict, describing their sacrifice as a “sacred trust” for the nation.

Reaffirming national defence posture he declared that Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national dignity remain non-negotiable, adding that the entire nation stands “like an unbreakable wall” in defence of the homeland.

He credited Pakistan’s armed forces, particularly the Air Force “Shaheens,” for demonstrating exceptional operational capability by neutralizing advanced enemy assets and striking multiple strategic targets. He further warned that any future aggression would be met with a “swift, decisive, and far-reaching response.”

The ceremony is being held amid a strong emphasis on inter-services coordination, national defence preparedness, and tribute to fallen heroes. The joint presence of the Army, Navy, and Air Force leadership reflects a clear message of institutional unity and collective operational readiness.

Comprehensive security arrangements have been enforced across the GHQ vicinity, with military and law enforcement agencies jointly overseeing proceedings of this high-profile national event.

Widely viewed as a reaffirmation of Pakistan’s defence doctrine and strategic confidence, the Maarka-e-Haq ceremony stands as a powerful reminder of sacrifice, resilience, and unwavering commitment to national security.

Officials reiterated that any act of aggression against Pakistan would be met with a firm and decisive response, reinforcing the country’s stance on sovereignty and defence.

Overall, the ceremony continues to highlight Pakistan’s enduring focus on national unity, military professionalism, and deep reverence for its martyrs, as the nation collectively reflects on a moment defined by strength, sacrifice, and resolve.
