COAS, Chief of Defence Forces and Field Marshal Asim Munir chaired the 275th Corps Commanders Conference in Pakistan.
The forum paid strong tribute to the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and innocent civilians who sacrificed their lives in the defence of the country. It said that the sacrifices of martyrs will always remain the foundation of Pakistan’s national security, unity, and resilience.
The Army Chief expressed satisfaction over the readiness, professionalism, and combat capabilities of the armed forces. He also praised the leadership and performance of commanders and formations involved in intelligence-based counter-terrorism operations across the country.
The conference decided to maintain the current operational momentum to fully eliminate terrorist networks, destroy their supporting infrastructure, and prevent any hostile activity on Pakistani soil. It reviewed ongoing operations, including “Operation Ghazab al-Haq,” against terrorists and their support systems.
The forum stated that under an “irrational and misleading policy,” the Afghan Taliban regime is providing safe havens to militants and other terrorist groups. It said such support is against the interests of the Afghan people and has exposed the regime before its own public.
It further noted that the Afghan Taliban regime has been running a propaganda campaign against Pakistan by falsely accusing it of targeting civilians inside Afghanistan. The forum rejected these allegations, calling them part of a coordinated disinformation campaign aimed at diverting attention from internal failures.
Pakistan strongly rejected these baseless claims, stating that its defensive actions are precise and targeted only against infiltrators, terrorist hideouts, and their support networks.
The forum also reviewed the regional security situation and warned that evolving geopolitical developments could have a serious impact on regional stability. It stressed the importance of restraint and responsible behavior to avoid escalation.
It reiterated that peace and stability in the region depend on mutual respect, restraint, and sovereignty. The conference also highlighted Pakistan’s continued support for regional stability and efforts to prevent further deterioration of the situation.
Field Marshal Asim Munir congratulated the nation and the armed forces on the completion of the anniversary of “Marka-e-Haq,” calling it an important milestone. He said it reflects national unity, collective resolve, and Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to defend its sovereignty at all costs.
He added that commemorating “Marka-e-Haq” sends a clear message of unity and strength, showing that Pakistan is fully prepared to face all challenges. He described it as a symbol of strong coordination between the people, government, and armed forces.
The forum also strongly condemned ongoing human rights violations, extrajudicial killings, and demographic changes in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, reaffirming Pakistan’s diplomatic, political, and moral support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
At the end of the conference, the Army Chief directed all commanders to maintain high levels of preparedness and vigilance in view of emerging threats, and emphasized continuous professionalism and proactive measures to deal with both traditional and non-traditional security challenges.
