Minibuses will be given Rs40,000, and vans will receive Rs35,000 per month as part of subsidy.

The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has decided to introduce the Ehsaas Fuel Support Scheme for commercial vehicles to provide relief amid rising fuel prices.

This step comes after a sharp increase in petroleum prices due to regional tensions involving Iran, prompting both federal and provincial governments to offer fuel support to different groups, including motorcyclists and public transport operators.

Under this new scheme, the provincial government will provide monthly subsidies on petrol and diesel to commercial vehicle owners, according to the Transport Department. Bus operators will receive up to Rs100,000 per month, while larger vehicles will get Rs80,000 and trucks will receive Rs70,000.

Minibuses will be given Rs40,000, and vans will receive Rs35,000 per month as part of the subsidy.

The Transport Department also said that the entire application process will be fully digital, making it easier and more transparent for applicants.
