    PM extends Eid greetings to services chiefs, pays tribute to forces

    ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the country’s top military leadership, commending their role in safeguarding national borders.

    The premier made telephone calls to Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber, and Naval Chief Naveed Ashraf, conveying his warm wishes on the occasion of Eid.

    During the conversations, the prime minister paid tribute to officers and soldiers of the armed forces for their dedication and sacrifices in protecting the country’s borders.

    Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated across Pakistan today, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

    Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversation with Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Chairman of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan, on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

    During the call, the prime minister extended Eid greetings to Dr Siddiqui and all workers of MQM Pakistan. In response, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui thanked the premier and reciprocated the Eid wishes.

    The two leaders also exchanged views on the current national and international situation, reaffirming the importance of continued dialogue on key issues.
