Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted intermittent rain, heavy showers, and isolated hailstorms in Peshawar and several parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from Tuesday night and over the next two days.

According to the department, a westerly weather system is expected to enter the western regions of the country tonight and will spread across most areas by tomorrow. This system is likely to remain active until March 20.

Under these conditions, partly cloudy weather is expected in many upper districts on Tuesday night. However, rain accompanied by wind and thunderstorms is likely in areas including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Buner, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Kurram, Peshawar, Nowshera, Kohat, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Karak, Dera Ismail Khan, and Waziristan.

On Wednesday and Thursday, the weather is expected to remain cloudy with periods of rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds, along with a few heavy showers and isolated hailstorms in several districts. Snowfall is also expected in the high mountainous areas.

The weather conditions may lead to a drop in daytime temperatures during this period. There is also a risk of landslides in vulnerable areas of upper parts of the province, while lightning strikes and hailstorms could occur at some places and may damage standing crops.

Farmers have been advised to take precautionary measures to protect their crops, while tourists and travellers are urged to stay cautious and avoid unnecessary travel during this time.

In Peshawar, the maximum temperature is expected to remain between 20°C and 22°C on Wednesday and Thursday.

Over the past 24 hours, dry weather was observed in Peshawar and most districts, while upper areas remained cold. Dera Ismail Khan recorded the highest temperature in the province, while in Peshawar, the maximum temperature reached 22°C, with evening humidity recorded at 89 percent.
