ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Ataullah Tarar has released a fresh statement regarding Operation Ghazab-Lil-Haq, providing what he described as a summary of losses inflicted on the Afghan Taliban.

    Summary of Reported Losses

According to the minister: 464 operatives of the Afghan Taliban regime have been killed, more than 665 individuals have been injured, 188 check posts have been destroyed, 31 posts have been taken over, 192 tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery guns have been destroyed and  56 locations across Afghanistan were effectively targeted through aerial operations.

The statement outlined what the government termed as significant operational gains under the ongoing campaign. Independent verification of the figures was not immediately available.

Ataullah Tarar has stated that Afghan Taliban fighters carried out multiple ground and fire raid attacks in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, all of which were effectively repelled by Pakistani security forces.

According to the minister, Afghan Taliban militants launched ground assaults at 16 locations in northern Balochistan, including the districts of Qila Saifullah, Nushki, and Chaman.

In addition, 25 fire raid attacks were carried out against Pakistani forces across Balochistan. He said all attacks were successfully thwarted.

Tarar added that 27 Afghan Taliban operatives were killed and several others injured in Balochistan. During the defense of the country, one soldier of FC Balochistan North was martyred, while five others sustained injuries.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the minister said an attempt at a ground assault was made at one location, while 12 fire raids were conducted across the province.

All attempts were foiled without any casualties on the Pakistani side. However, during overnight operations in the province, 40 Afghan Taliban operatives were reportedly killed.

The minister reiterated that security forces remain vigilant and that operations against hostile elements are ongoing.
