Makhana or roasted chickpeas: Best for weight loss?

Both makhana (fox nuts) and roasted chickpeas are popular healthy snacks, especially for people trying to lose weight. They are nutritious, filling, and better alternatives to fried or processed snacks. However, each has slightly different benefits.

Makhana is low in calories and fat, making it a light snack option. It is rich in antioxidants and contains some protein and fiber, which help control hunger. Because it is low in calories, it can be a good choice for people who want to reduce overall calorie intake while still enjoying a crunchy snack.

Roasted chickpeas, on the other hand, are higher in protein and fiber compared to makhana. Protein and fiber are important for weight loss because they keep you full for longer and reduce cravings. Chickpeas also help stabilize blood sugar levels, which can prevent overeating.

If your goal is to eat fewer calories, makhana may be a better option. But if you want a snack that keeps you full for a longer time and supports muscle health, roasted chickpeas might be more effective.

In the end, both can support weight loss if eaten in controlled portions and without added oil or excess salt. The best choice depends on your calorie needs and how filling you want your snack to be.
