KARACHI: The upward trend in gold and silver prices continued in both local and international markets on Monday, reflecting strong global demand and market volatility.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold in Pakistan surged by Rs10,900 per tola, pushing the rate to Rs532,066 per tola.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs9,345, reaching Rs456,000 in the domestic market.

In the international bullion market, gold also witnessed a significant rise, crossing $5,000 per ounce, further impacting local prices.

Meanwhile, silver prices recorded a notable increase as well. The price of per tola silver rose by Rs627, bringing it to Rs11,428 per tola.

Market analysts attribute the continuous surge in precious metal prices to global economic uncertainty, currency fluctuations, and increased investor interest in safe-haven assets.
