Ed Westwick is embracing his journey as a first-time dad.
The White Gold star, 37, was at the 2025 amfAR Gala Cannes with his actress wife Amy Jackson when he caught up with the press about his new role as a real dad.
“Very amazing, very beautiful. Nothing can prepare you,” Westwick told People Magazine about his experience so far since welcoming his son Oscar in March.
“Incredibly surreal and just this wave of emotion that I haven’t felt at any other point.”
“They say you can’t describe it and that is accurate. It’s a beautiful thing,” he continued. “I think the motivation you feel, the sense of love, sense of responsibility, it’s something that I was very welcoming of.”
Westwick announced the birth of his first child with black-and-white photos of the family of three in a joint post on Instagram.
“Welcome to the world, baby boy,” the couple wrote in the caption. “Oscar Alexander Westwick.”
The Gossip Girl actor also reposted the gallery on his Instagram Stories, writing, “Words can’t express the wonder.”
The couple married in Italy on August 24, 2024, weeks after first tying the knot in a civil ceremony in London on August 9.
They announced they were expecting a child two months after the Italy ceremony.
