Dwayne Johnson has officially joined the Disney Legends club — and apparently, his daughters have already figured out the most important perk.
The 54-year-old actor was honoured at the 2026 Disney Legends Awards in Anaheim on August 16 alongside Anne Hathaway, Lin-Manuel Miranda and the Jonas Brothers.
Johnson told People magazine that his daughters Jasmine, 10, and Tiana, 8, were thrilled about the honor and even sent him a sweet video before the ceremony.
“They said, ‘Congratulations, Daddy, you’re a Disney legend. What does it mean?’ ” Johnson recalled.
Then came his very Rock-like explanation: “And I sent them back a video and I was like, ‘It means we get free tickets to Disney for life.’”
Jokes aside, the honor clearly meant something much deeper to Johnson.
During his acceptance speech, he remembered taking his eldest daughter, Simone, to Disneyland when she was just 5 and watching her make a wish over breakfast with the princesses.
“I just remember that moment on my daughter’s face. I had never seen that before. She was just so into making a wish. … I said, ‘God, I wonder what was going through the little mind,’ ” he recalled.
“That’s the beauty of Disney. That’s the beauty also of being a Disney Legend.”
The celebration also doubled as a family moment.
Simone turned 25 just two days before the ceremony, prompting Johnson to lead the crowd in singing “Happy Birthday” to her.
And his Disney connection is far from over. Johnson will return as Maui in Moana 3 and recently co-wrote and performed “Your Dad,” a heartfelt song inspired by his three daughters.
For Johnson, the Disney Legend title may be an industry honor — but judging by his speech, his biggest legacy is clearly being Dad.
