The government has decided to launch the Vision Pakistan 2047 program on August 12, with the goal of turning the country into a trillion-dollar economy.

The program will provide a long-term roadmap for economic development, sustainable growth and structural transformation of the national economy, according to sources.

Under Vision Pakistan 2047, the government will also introduce initiatives to provide young people with opportunities aimed at promoting sustainable growth, prosperity and innovation.

Sources said the government’s Uraan Pakistan Plan will be aligned with the goals and framework of Vision Pakistan 2047.

The Prime Minister’s Office has asked ministries and government institutions to provide targets for implementing the Vision Pakistan 2047 program.

According to sources, ministries will submit strategic targets, proposed reforms and a long-term development agenda.

The program will include targets related to national development, economic transformation, human capital development and technology.

Ministries will also be asked to incorporate objectives related to climate sustainability and governance reforms into the long-term plan.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to formally launch the Vision Pakistan 2047 program, sources in the Prime Minister’s Office said.
