The company is preparing to release new wearables, and privacy fears surrounding its artificial intelligence have sparked fresh lawsuits against the social media giant.According to reports, more than 70 people who bought and were recorded with Meta’s new glasses have sued the social media giant claiming their intimate and sensitive images were exposed to workers.

People also expressed anxiety that companies are using their videos and photos to build AI features without their consent.But the company said it includes privacy protections such as light that signals when the glasses are recording.The 230-page lawsuit filed in a federal court in North California accuses Meta of fraud and false advertising.

The lawsuit also intends to block Meta from deploying biometric tools through its glasses.

At present, the company is exploring a new controversial feature called “ NameTag” that allows people to identify others.

Meta claims it’s been transparent about how it uses social media data to improve data to build its AI products.

In addition, Meta is expected to unveil its latest lineup of wearables on September 23.
