KHARAN/ MASTUNG: Security forces conducted two separate high-intensity intelligence-based operations in Balochistan’s Kharan and Mastung districts, killing eight terrorists linked to Indian-sponsored networks, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In a statement, ISPR said the operations were carried out on June 25 and 26, 2026, as part of Pakistan’s ongoing and relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the national framework Azm-e-Istehkam.

The first operation was conducted on June 25 in Kharan district after intelligence inputs confirmed the movement of a group of militants.

Security forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, resulting in the killing of three militants associated with an Indian proxy network.

In a separate intelligence-based operation on June 26 in Mastung district, security forces acted on credible information regarding the presence of a suspected suicide bomber.

During a precise and high-tempo engagement, troops cordoned off and engaged the target area. Following an intense exchange of fire, five terrorists, including a suicide bomber, were neutralised.

ISPR further stated that weapons, ammunition, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and motorcycles used by the terrorists were recovered from both sites.

Sanitisation operations are currently underway in the affected areas to clear any remaining terrorist presence and ensure complete security of the region.

The statement reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces, in coordination with law enforcement agencies, will continue counter-terrorism operations at full pace under Azm-e-Istehkam to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
