Singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers has stunned fans with an unusual and strict rule for her upcoming international tour, banning all phones and recording devices from her shows.
The 31-year-old artist is set to return to the stage for her first major tour since 2023, with “The Lost Tour” scheduled to begin on September 15 in Indianapolis before spanning across North America, the UK, and Europe.
However, it is not just the tour that is making headlines it is the experience itself. Bridgers has confirmed that fans will not be allowed to use phones inside venues, marking one of the most restrictive concert policies in recent years.
Announcing the tour on Instagram, she kept the message short and direct: “I’m going on tour, no phones.”
According to tour arrangements, all mobile phones, smartwatches, and recording devices will be sealed in Yondr pouches upon entry. Concertgoers will keep their devices with them, but they will remain locked throughout the performance. Anyone caught using a restricted device risks being removed from the venue.
The announcement has sparked widespread discussion among fans, with many expressing surprise over the decision in an era where concerts are heavily documented on social media.
The tour will cover major cities including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Detroit, Boston, as well as Toronto and Vancouver in Canada, followed by UK and European dates later in the year.
Support acts include Alex G for North America and Isaac Wood for UK and European shows.
The North American leg will also include a charitable element, with $1 from every ticket donated to RAINN, a leading US organization supporting survivors of sexual violence.
“The Lost Tour” marks Bridgers’ first full-scale live tour since 2023, following a series of surprise acoustic performances earlier this year that already had fans talking but this latest move has taken that anticipation to a whole new level.
