    Michael Jackson makes hot 100 history with posthumous chart record

    The King of Pop, Michael Jackson, has become the only artist to have songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in six different decades. His songs appeared on the chart in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, and now the 2020s.

    During the 1970s, Jackson had 11 Hot 100 songs. He scored 20 songs in the 1980s and 12 in the 1990s. He also had four charting songs in the 2000s and four in the 2010s. His song Chicago has now entered the Hot 100 chart in the 2020s. The track recently climbed to number 30, helping Jackson set the historic record.

    Chicago was released on Jackson’s posthumous 2014 album Xscape. It became the 52nd song of his career to reach the Hot 100 chart since got to be there first entered the ranking in 1972.

    The song has gained millions of streams in recent weeks. Interest in Jackson’s music increased after the release of his biopic Michael, which performed strongly at the box office. The track also became popular on social media. Many young listeners discovered the song online and later explored Jackson’s classic music catalogue.

    Jackson’s songs have remained among the most streamed tracks of the week. Chicago is now his second highest charting song in recent years, behind Billie Jean, which reached number 19 on the chart.

    Michael Jackson’s latest achievement proves that his music continues to inspire new generations, keeping his legacy alive and strengthening his place as one of history’s most influential artists.
