    The iconic No. 10 jersey of Brazil’s national football team has once again become a topic of discussion following the legacy of Neymar, with debate intensifying over who should inherit the famous shirt.

    According to media reports, Vinícius Júnior is being strongly considered by fans and football experts for the No. 10 jersey at the FIFA World Cup 2026, following his impressive recent performances.

    The No. 10 shirt holds historic significance in Brazilian football and has been worn by legendary players including Pelé, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, and Kaká, making it one of the most iconic jerseys in the sport.

    The jersey is widely regarded as a symbol of creativity and leadership in Brazil national football team.

    Reports suggest that discussions are ongoing regarding leadership within Brazil’s new generation of players, with many viewing Vinícius Júnior as a key figure in the team’s future direction.

    Earlier, Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti had named a 26-man squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, with star forward Neymar making a high-profile return after a prolonged injury absence.

    The 34-year-old Santos attacker, Brazil’s all-time leading scorer with 79 goals in 128 appearances, will feature in his fourth World Cup after previously playing in the 2014, 2018, and 2022 editions. His inclusion drew strong reactions from fans during the official squad announcement ceremony held in Rio de Janeiro.

    Ancelotti said Neymar’s selection followed careful monitoring of his fitness and form throughout the year with emphasis placed on consistency and physical readiness.

    Brazil’s squad features a strong mix of experienced internationals and emerging talent as the five-time champions prepare for the expanded World Cup.
