TEHRAN/ISLAMABAD: Amid rising tensions in the Middle East, Iran has reportedly delivered a new and important message to the United States through Pakistan, triggering speculation about a potential diplomatic breakthrough in the region.

According to Iranian state media, Tehran has sent a revised proposal for negotiations to Washington via Pakistani intermediaries.

The development is being viewed by observers as a possible step toward easing ongoing regional tensions.

Meanwhile, a US-based news outlet correspondent, Barak Ravid, also claimed that Iran has responded to US amendments and conveyed its updated position to Washington through a Pakistani communication channel.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei stated that Tehran seeks sustainable peace through dialogue with the United States.

However, Iranian religious leadership and lawmakers have reportedly made it clear that sensitive issues such as the nuclear programme and the Strait of Hormuz are no longer part of the negotiation framework.

Analysts say Pakistan’s emerging role as a mediator highlights its growing diplomatic influence in regional affairs.

They further suggest that these indirect communications between Tehran and Washington could pave the way for a broader agreement or significant diplomatic shift in the future.
