U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are set to travel to Pakistan on Saturday.

An Iranian delegation has arrived in Pakistan’s capital for an official visit, according to Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei.

Baghaei stated that Abbas Araghchi is expected to hold meetings with senior Pakistani leadership during the visit. He added that discussions will focus on regional developments, including efforts to de-escalate tensions and restore peace.

The spokesperson stated that, Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement and mediation efforts are ongoing, while clarifying that there are currently no plans for any direct meeting between Iran and the United States. He further noted that Pakistan will be briefed on Iran’s official stance during the talks.

According to Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visiting delegation was received upon arrival in Islamabad by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, along with other senior officials.

Meanwhile, U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are set to travel to Pakistan on Saturday for another round of discussions with Iran aimed at ending the war, the White House said.

“I can confirm that Special Envoy Witkoff and Jared Kushner will depart for Pakistan again tomorrow morning to take part in talks,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told Fox News on Friday.

Leavitt added that Vice President Vance remains prepared to travel to Pakistan but will not be doing so at this time. “Everyone will be on standby to go to Pakistan if needed,” she said.
