The film is set to arrive in US cinemas on May 1, as it brings back the original stars while also adding new names to the cast.
A source said Sweeney was upset after finding out that her scene was cut from the final version, saying that she did not expect it and felt disappointed by the decision.
The source described the moment as embarrassing for her and said it felt like a big setback after she already spent time working on the project.
They, however, also claimed she got every right to feel frustrated about how things were handled.
According to the same source, there may have been people in the industry who did not support her involvement.
They suggested that some individuals could be making things harder for her on purpose and trying to affect her career progress.
The source also added that jealousy from certain parts of Hollywood could be one reason behind this kind of treatment.
Despite everything, it was said that Sweeney is trying to stay strong as she is focusing on her work and moving forward, even though the situation has clearly upset her.
