The price of gold per tola surged by Rs4, 500, reaching Rs506, 062.

KARACHI: Gold prices witnessed a sharp increase in both international and local markets on Saturday, driven by a rise in bullion rates.

In the international bullion market, gold rose by $45 per ounce to reach $4,837. The increase directly impacted local markets, where the price of gold per tola surged by Rs4, 500, reaching Rs506, 062.

According to market data, the price of 10 grams of gold also increased by Rs3, 858, reaching Rs433,816.

Meanwhile, silver prices also recorded an upward trend in the global market. The price of silver per ounce increased by $1.18 to $80.78.

As a result, in local markets, silver per tola rose by Rs118 to Rs8, 562, while the price of 10 grams increased by Rs101 to Rs7, 340.

It is worth noting that gold prices had declined just a day earlier after a three-day upward streak, but the market has once again reversed direction with the latest surge.
