Samsung has started rolling out its latest software update, delivering the April 2026 security patch to a range of Galaxy devices, including its foldable smartphones and flagship tablets.

The update is being released for the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, along with the Galaxy Tab S10 series, marking another step in strengthening Samsung’s device security ecosystem.

According to details the new update addresses 47 security vulnerabilities found in the previous software version, significantly improving overall system protection and stability.

The patches include contributions from Google’s Android Security Bulletin as well as Samsung Mobile and Samsung Semiconductor divisions.

At present the rollout has begun in South Korea, with a wider global release expected in the coming days and weeks. Users will receive an automatic notification once the update becomes available, while it can also be manually installed via Settings > Software update > Download and install.

The firmware versions for supported devices have also been confirmed, including F946NKSS6FZCS for the Galaxy Z Fold 5, F731NKSS6FZCS for the Galaxy Z Flip 5, F936NKSS7IZCS for the Fold 4, and F721NKSS7IZCS for the Flip 4. For tablets, the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra and Tab S10+ are receiving versions X926NKOS7CZD3 and X826NKOS7CZD3 respectively.

While the update does not introduce any new features, it plays a crucial role in fixing high and moderate severity vulnerabilities, ensuring enhanced protection for users.

This release comes shortly after Samsung introduced the One UI 8.5 beta, based on Android 16 QPR2, for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. The beta brings a refreshed interface and new features ahead of the stable release.

However, the One UI 8.5 beta program has not yet been extended to the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, although these devices are still expected to receive the stable update in the future.
