Islamabad: According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a rain-bearing system is currently sweeping across several regions of Pakistan, bringing heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and strong winds.

Residents have been advised to exercise caution as adverse weather conditions are expected to continue over the coming hours.

In Balochistan, rain is currently being reported in Sibi, Kohlu, Bolan, Naseerabad, and Qalat. Thunderstorms with lightning are forecast for Ziarat, Quetta, and surrounding areas.

Over the next three to six hours, the system is expected to affect Dera Bugti, Loralai, Pishin, Qila Saifullah, Qila Abdullah, Barkhan, Musakhel, Zhob, Jhal Magsi, and Chagai, with the possibility of heavy showers, hail, and lightning at some locations.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rainfall is predicted for Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, and Harnai. The system is also likely to extend to Waziristan and Karak within the next few hours, bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms to these areas.

Parts of Sindh are also expected to receive localized rainfall, particularly in northern and interior districts, with the potential for thunderstorms in some regions.

The PMD has urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather and to take precautionary measures to protect both property and personal safety. Continuous updates from official weather channels are recommended to stay informed about changing conditions.
