KARACHI: In a major development, the Sindh government and police have secured the surrender of notorious notified bandit Sanaullah alias Sanao Shar, who was wanted in more than 50 serious criminal cases.

Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar termed the surrender a significant success of the government’s strategy and the sustained efforts of law enforcement agencies.

He credited the achievement to the dedicated efforts of DIG Nasir Aftab and SSP Ghotki Anwar Khetran, along with their teams, praising their professionalism and continuous operational pressure in the region.

Sanaullah alias Sanao, son of Jangal alias Bago Shar, was a notified dacoit operating in the Kacha area of Ronti.

He was facing multiple charges across various police stations, including: murder and attempted murder, kidnapping for ransom, armed robbery, offences under the Arms Act and charges under the Anti-Terrorism Act.

Officials described his surrender as a clear sign of the restoration of the state’s writ in the troubled riverine belt.

The Home Minister said the Sindh government’s surrender policy had proven effective and sent a clear message to criminal elements: “Come before the law or face the law.”

He reiterated that while those willing to abandon crime would be given an opportunity, individuals involved in heinous offences would be brought to justice without exception.

Lanjar emphasized that maintaining law and order remains the government’s top priority, adding that there would be no compromise on public safety and the protection of citizens’ lives and property.

He further stated that the continued crackdown under ongoing security operations reflects the government’s firm resolve to eliminate criminal networks from the province.
