Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, addressed the United Nations Security Council, strongly condemning what he described as Israel’s continuous violations of the Gaza ceasefire and illegal actions in the occupied territories.

Dar stated that Israel is repeatedly breaching the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, undermining ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at ensuring stability in the region. He emphasized that maintaining the ceasefire remains a top priority for the international community and confirmed that diplomatic engagements are actively underway to prevent further escalation.

The Deputy Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s firm condemnation of Israeli actions, calling them violations of international law. He stressed that any steps aimed at displacing Palestinians from Gaza are unacceptable and must be halted immediately. He also pointed to alleged illegal measures being carried out in the West Bank, describing them as further obstacles to peace.

Dar noted that the foreign ministers of eight Arab and Islamic countries have collectively condemned Israel’s actions, reflecting broad regional concern over the deteriorating situation.

Highlighting Pakistan’s continued diplomatic engagement, Dar announced that Pakistan will participate in the upcoming off-board meeting on Gaza. He also expressed Pakistan’s support for President Donald Trump’s peace plan, stating that all constructive initiatives aimed at achieving a just and lasting resolution deserve consideration.

The Deputy Prime Minister underscored that diplomacy grounded in mutual trust and respect is essential for sustainable peace in the Middle East. He further stressed that the reconstruction of Gaza and the provision of urgent humanitarian assistance are immediate priorities, calling on the international community to step up efforts to address the humanitarian crisis.

He further said Pakistan’s commitment to supporting all international initiatives that promote peace, stability, and justice for the Palestinian people.
