    ISPR shares update on health of former army chief Qamar Javed Bajwa

    The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has provided an update regarding the health of former Army Chief General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa.

    In a statement issued on Thursday, the military’s media wing said that General Bajwa sustained injuries after falling at his residence. It added that he is currently receiving medical treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH).

    “Former Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa sustained injuries due to a fall at his residence,” the military’s media wing said in a statement. He is currently undergoing treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH).

    General Qamar Javed Bajwa, a retired four-star general, served as the 16th Chief of Army Staff of the Pakistan Army from November 2016 to November 2022.

    He was succeeded by General Syed Asim Munir, who presently holds the position of Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF).
