Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said that Pakistan would continue to raise Kashmir issue at all international forums.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief visited Muzaffarabad where he paid tribute to the martyrs of the Kashmir freedom movement. He laid a floral wreath at the Jammu and Kashmir Martyrs’ Memorial and acknowledged the courage, bravery, and sacrifices of those who lost their lives in the struggle.

Addressing local dignitaries and ex-servicemen during the visit, Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering political, moral, and diplomatic support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He said that Indian oppression, ongoing human rights violations, and actions driven by Hindutva ideology could not suppress the legitimate struggle of the Kashmiri people.

He stated that Kashmir would ultimately achieve freedom in line with the wishes of its people, adding that Pakistan would continue to raise the Kashmir issue at all international forums until a just resolution is achieved in accordance with United Nations resolutions.

During the visit, the Field Marshal also appreciated the professionalism, high morale, and operational preparedness of officers and troops deployed in the region. He stressed the importance of maintaining operational readiness, vigilance, and coordination at all times.

Field Marshal Asim Munir also visited forward posts and met frontline troops, expressing confidence in their commitment and readiness. He reiterated that any aggression would receive an immediate, effective, and befitting response, adding that Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully prepared to deal with both conventional and hybrid threats.

Upon arrival in Muzaffarabad, the Field Marshal was received by the Rawalpindi Corps Commander. He commended the troops’ determination and reaffirmed that the armed forces would continue to play their role in defending the country and supporting the people of Kashmir.
