    YouTube deleted multiple AI-generated channels

At the start of 2026, YouTube, owned by Google, deleted over 4.7 billion views worth of low-quality AI-generated videos, commonly referred to as “AI slops.”

An initial report released by online video editing platform Kapwing in November 2025 had identified the 100 most-subscribed AI slop channels on YouTube. According to Kapwing’s latest update, 16 of these channels have now been removed from the platform.

Among the deleted channels were CuentosFacianantes, known for low-quality Dragon Ball–themed videos, Imperiodejesus (Empire of Jesus), and Super Cat League. These channels were either completely removed from YouTube or had all their content wiped.

Collectively, these 16 channels had over 35 million subscribers, with videos that had been viewed more than 4.7 billion times. They were reportedly earning up to $10 million annually.

While some major AI channels still exist on the platform, much of their content has also been removed. Experts suggest that YouTube’s spam detection systems are likely being used to identify and eliminate low-quality AI-generated channels.

This move is part of YouTube’s ongoing efforts to maintain content quality and reduce the spread of AI-generated spam videos.
