Google Photos lets you turn your selfies into memes with new AI feature ‘Me Meme’

Google Photos has unveiled a new AI-powered tool called “Me Meme” that allows users to transform their own images into funny, personalized memes. By combining a photo template with a personal picture, users can create unique and shareable content in seconds.

Powered by Google’s Gemini AI Nano Banana model, the feature builds on existing AI tools in Google Photos, which already enable users to turn pictures into cartoons, paintings, and more.

Google notes that this experimental feature may not always produce a perfect match with the original photo.

Currently, “Me Meme” is available only to U.S. users and appears under the “Create” tab in Google Photos. Users can select a template or upload a photo, tap “Add Photo,” and then “Generate.”

The memes can be saved, shared, or regenerated for new variations. Google plans to expand the number of templates over time, giving users even more ways to experiment with AI-generated content.
