The inaugural FIFA Women’s Champions Cup is set to make history, with the title-winning club walking away with a record $2.3 million prize, the largest payout ever awarded in women’s club football.
The February 1 final, to be held at Arsenal Stadium in London, will also see the runners-up claim $1 million, while the two losing semi-finalists will each receive $200,000.
Teams eliminated earlier in the competition Auckland United FC (New Zealand) and Wuhan Chegu Jiangda WFC (China) have already secured $100,000 each.
The tournament’s semi-finals are scheduled for Wednesday at Brentford Stadium, where Gotham FC of the NWSL will take on Brazil’s SC Corinthians, followed by a highly anticipated showdown between Arsenal Women FC and Morocco’s AS FAR.
FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström said the nearly $4 million prize distribution reflects the organisation’s growing confidence in women’s club football and underscores its commitment to sustained, meaningful investment in the global women’s game.
He added that FIFA remains focused on expanding opportunity, visibility, and long-term value in women’s football, ensuring the sport’s rapid rise is matched by financial growth and global recognition.
