Karachi: Governor Sindh, Kamran Tessori, has strongly condemned recent threats directed at Pakistan’s Field Marshal, describing them as “deeply concerning and unacceptable.”
He alleged that these threats are backed by India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizing that the United Kingdom must also address these concerns seriously.
Speaking at a joint press briefing with MQM-Pakistan leaders in Karachi, Kamran Tessori highlighted Pakistan’s strength and growing international standing. “Our armed forces have consistently demonstrated Pakistan’s capabilities, earning global respect and recognition. The increasing demand for Pakistani defense equipment worldwide reflects the strategic strength of our nation,” he stated.
Criticizing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Kamran Tessori accused the party of prioritizing rhetoric over serious politics. “PTI is using the United Kingdom as a platform to propagate anti-Pakistan narratives, similar to how Afghan territory has been misused against Pakistan. Investigations are required against those spreading such propaganda abroad,” he added.
Addressing delays in the Karachi federal package, the Governor pledged to personally review the obstacles hindering its implementation, stressing the need for transparency and accountability.
He further urged overseas Pakistanis to protect their families from misleading propaganda, noting that PTI’s narrative has already failed.
Joining Kamran Tessori, MQM-Pakistan convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui condemned PTI’s rhetoric, calling it unprecedented in Pakistani politics. He urged PTI leaders to rise above personal affiliations and act in the national interest.
Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui also highlighted financial mismanagement in Karachi, stating that over the past 15 years, Sindh received Rs 22,000 billion, of which Rs 11,000 billion was allocated to Karachi.
“Karachi contributes 97% of Sindh’s revenue and drives the national economy, yet it continues to face neglect,” he remarked.
He further emphasized MQM’s ongoing advocacy for missing persons, confirming that substantial funds have been allocated for affected families.
Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui insisted that all missing individuals are innocent and called on the government and judiciary to take urgent and effective measures.
