The media rights for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 are reportedly in jeopardy, with the International Cricket Council (ICC) now on the lookout for a new broadcaster.

Sources reveal that ahead of the February-March 2026 tournament in India and Sri Lanka, the ICC faces a major setback.

India’s billionaire-owned Reliance Industries, via its JioStar network, has officially informed the ICC that it cannot continue with the remaining two years of its four-year India media rights agreement due to substantial financial losses.

Indian media reports indicate that the ICC has launched a fresh sale process for the 2026-29 India media rights, seeking approximately $2.4 billion.

In comparison, the media rights for the 2024-27 cycle were valued at $3 billion, covering key men’s cricket events each year.
