Melody Thomas Scott has revealed the secret of her successful marriage to producer Edward J. Scott.
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest magazine, the 68-year-old actress shared that her marriage gave her a deeper understanding of how relationships work.
“In my heart this is my only marriage,” said Melody, who had been married twice before tying the knot with Edward, each lasting six months.
“A marriage is two people who love each other, obviously and respect each other enough to both be caretakers of the unit they’ve created,” added The Young and the Restless star.
For those unversed, Melody exchanged vows with Edward on October 12, 1985, and the couple shares three daughters – Jennifer, Alexandra Danielle Yeaggy, and Elizabeth.
The actress welcomed Jennifer and Alexandra from her previous relationships.
