Researchers in China have developed a new display that lets you enjoy 3D visuals on desktop screens without needing 3D glasses or headsets. Imagine watching a car race where the cars seem to pop out of the screen, and the 3D effect stays clear even as you move around — that’s what this new technology makes possible.

    How It Works:

The system, called EyeReal, tracks where your eyes are looking to adjust the images and create realistic 3D effects. Earlier 3D displays either worked only on small screens or required you to stay in a specific spot, but this new technology solves that problem.

The display gives a wide 100-degree view, full HD resolution, and smooth motion with over 50 frames per second. Researchers built it using a simple stack of three standard LCD panels, making it practical for future home or office use.

    Who Made It:

Researchers at Shanghai AI Laboratory and Fudan University developed the technology. According to the researchers, it could be used in education, 3D design, or virtual reality, bringing immersive 3D experiences to everyday screens.

This breakthrough brings us closer to realistic 3D screens that anyone can enjoy — no glasses required.
